Christy Sellers joined Mountain Laurel in December 2018 as a Behavioral Health Provider. Christy is a Licensed Certified Clinical Social Worker in the state of Maryland. She became a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional (CCTP) through the International Association of Trauma Professionals in 2019. She received her Bachelors of Science in Psychology and Bachelors of Arts in Communication in 2014 from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and her Masters of Social Work and Graduate Certificate in Integrated Mental and Behavioral Health in 2017 from West Virginia University. Christy has worked at Garrett County Health Department as the therapist for the Maryland Community Criminal Justice Treatment Program and Garrett County Lighthouse. Christy is a native of Somerset County, PA where she lives with her family and many rescue animals. Christy enjoys being able to provide therapy and support to those typically underserved in the community. Recently, Christy graduated from Allegany College of Maryland with her Associates in Nursing and hopes to continue her education in nursing to be better able to serve her patients in the integrated setting.
