Bob Stephens

Bob Stephens joined the Mountain Laurel Medical Center Board of Directors in September 2025. He received his Bachelor’s degree from West Virginia Wesleyan, and his Master’s degree from Frostburg State. Bob worked for the Garrett County Health Department for over 20 years and most recently served as the Health Officer until retiring in 2024. While working at GCHD, Bob played an integral role in the grant application process that would lead to the foundation of Mountain Laurel Medical Center! Prior to the health department, Bob worked for a variety of community organizations, including Burlington United Methodist Family Services, Maryland Department of Juvenile Service, and the Garrett County Partnership for Children and Families. Bob is also a proud member of the Oakland Rotary Club. His public health experience and passion for the community will serve as a great addition to the MLMC Board!
