Feb 9, 2026

Mountain Laurel Medical Center (MLMC) extends its sincere appreciation to Smokey Stanton for ten years of dedicated service as a member of the Board of Directors. During his tenure, Mr. Stanton served as both Board Chair and Vice Chair, providing steady leadership and strategic guidance in support of MLMC’s Mission.

Mr. Stanton brought decades of experience in health policy, health system development, regulation, and emergency management at the local, state, and national levels. His understanding of health care systems and commitment to accessible, affordable, and high-quality care played a vital role in strengthening MLMC’s governance and advancing its ability to serve the community.

“Smokey’s leadership and expertise will have a lasting impact on Mountain Laurel Medical Center,” said CEO Michelle Dixon. “His thoughtful guidance helped ensure our organization remained focused on delivering high-quality primary care to all.”

As MLMC thanks Mr. Stanton for his years of service, the organization is pleased to announce Kevin Null as the new Chair of the Board of Directors.

Mr. Null brings extensive experience in government operations, organizational leadership, and security and risk management, along with a strong commitment to community service. His background in both public administration and private-sector leadership provides valuable perspective as MLMC continues to grow and respond to the evolving health care needs of the community.

Together, the leadership and contributions of both Mr. Stanton and Mr. Null exemplify the strong governance that supports Mountain Laurel Medical Center’s Mission to provide the highest quality primary health care to the community, regardless of ability to pay.

Mountain Laurel Medical Center looks forward to continued progress under Mr. Null’s leadership and extends its heartfelt gratitude to Mr. Stanton for his lasting service and dedication.
