Krista joined Mountain Laurel Medical Center in April 2024 as a Family Nurse Practitioner. She graduated from Allegany College of Maryland in 1999 with an Associate degree in Applied Science for Respiratory Therapy. In 2004, she returned to Allegany College of Maryland to obtain her Associate degree in Science for Nursing. She worked for Winchester Medical Center in MSICU, Allegany County-Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, and correctional medicine. She obtained her RN-BC in psychiatric medicine before returning to school. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Nursing from Chamberlain and her Master’s degree in Nursing from Shenandoah University. She is a board certified family nurse practitioner from the Academy of Nurse Practitioners. Krista has 2 adult sons and a grandson and grand-daughter whom she enjoys spending her weekends with. Krista is a huge sports fanatic. She loves football and Nascar. Her favorite get-a-ways are the beach and camping. Krista looks forward to continuing to provide compassionate care to the area’s families.
