Penny joined Mountain Laurel Medical Center in April, 2024. Penny is board certified nationally by the ANCC as a Family Nurse Practitioner and licensed by the state of Maryland. Penny has worked in nursing in the ICU, trauma units across the country and geriatrics until 2011 at which time she became a clinical manager for a hospice in WV. She earned her Bachelors from Alderson Broaddus College in Philippi, WV then her Masters of Science in Nursing from Chamberlain University in 2016. Since then, she has been working in family medicine caring for patient’s from newborn to advanced age. She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Penny has resided in Randolph County, WV for years and moved to Garrett County, MD 4 years ago. She has 3 adult children, 9 grandchildren, and two adopted young children. Penny enjoys spending time with her family, church, travel and anything outdoors.
