Mountain Laurel Medical Center is excited to announce they have opened an in-house pharmacy, Mountain Laurel Community Pharmacy, at their Westernport practice location at 22221 Westernport Road SW. The project planning with Mountain Laurel Medical Center Leadership and Cardinal Health took place over 9 months and renovations were completed by Daystar Builders of Grantsville, MD. The pharmacy is open to all members of the community and does not require that you are a Mountain Laurel Medical Center patient to fill prescriptions.
Mountain Laurel Medical Center’s Oakland practice has had an in-house pharmacy since 2016 and it has been a part of the medical center’s strategic plan to offer the same convenience at all of their practice sites. With the addition of an in-house pharmacy at the Westernport practice, patients will now be able to see their primary care and/or behavioral health provider, complete any necessary lab work, and have their prescription filled all under the same roof.
“This will be a wonderful asset, not only to our patients, but to Westernport and the surrounding communities as well,” stated Mountain Laurel Medical Center Chief Executive Officer Brian Bailey.
